Limited Edition of 100 — Only a Few Remain

Custom Tiki Mug Designed by John Mulder of Eekum Bookum Tiki Mugs + Bamboo USB Drive Featuring the Complete Recordings of Tucson’s Ernie Menehune

For fans of: Arthur Lyman • Martin Denny • Don Ho • Alfred Apaka • Hawaiian Lounge • Vintage Exotica • Polynesian Pop • Mid-Century Tiki Culture

Only 100 of these custom Ernie Menehune tiki mugs were created by acclaimed tiki mug artist John Mulder of Eekum Bookum Tiki Mugs — and only a few remain.

More than a collectible mug, this limited-edition piece was specially designed as a tribute to Tucson's own Ernie Menehune, the legendary Hawaiian entertainer known as “Hawaii’s Sun-Tanned Irishman.” The mug itself holds a custom bamboo USB flash drive containing Ernie Menehune’s complete music catalog, available for you to download and enjoy in multiple digital formats.

The recordings have been remastered from the original master tapes — no LP sources were used — creating an extraordinary musical archive housed inside a one-of-a-kind piece of modern Tiki art.

The Complete Ernie Menehune Collection Includes:

Back to Aloha Land — complete album (1964)
Hawaii’s Sun-Tanned Irishman — complete album (1965)
Show Time: Live at the Spanish Trails — complete album (1967)
Round the Town — complete album (1967)

• 9 bonus tracks featuring rare singles and outtakes not included on Ernie’s LPs
• Ernie’s final recording of “Tiny Bubbles”
• 3 episodes of the Quiet Village Podcast featuring an interview with Ernie Menehune
• Original album cover artwork and LP liner notes

All music is included in three digital formats: lossless FLAC, Apple M4A, and high-resolution MP3, making it easy to download the recordings from the USB drive and add them to your computer, smartphone, or digital music library.

The Story of Ernie Menehune

Born on the island of Kauaʻi, Ernie Menehune was a Hawaiian crooner and entertainer whose remarkable career brought the sounds of the islands throughout the American Southwest and beyond. From the 1960s until late in his life, Ernie performed everywhere from Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe to Tucson, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver, Reno, and New Mexico, including residencies at legendary venues such as Harrah’s and Caesars Palace.

During the golden age of America’s fascination with Hawaiiana, Polynesian Pop, and Tiki culture, Ernie released seven LPs along with numerous singles. Today, his recordings represent a fascinating and lesser-known chapter in the soundtrack of the mid-century Tiki era.

Part collectible Tiki mug, part complete musical archive, and part tribute to a nearly forgotten Hawaiian entertainer, this is a unique piece of Polynesian Pop history created for just 100 collectors.

Only 100 mugs were produced. Only a few remain.

This collection was originally released by DigiTiki Productions under special license from Luna Recorded Archives, Tucson, Arizona.
